What you'll do: We are seeking a Manufacturing & Process Engineer to serve as the technical expert for the newly established Additive Manufacturing Center. This individual will define, implement, and optimize the manufacturing, processing, and inspection methods required to deliver high-quality, additively manufactured aerospace components. The role involves close collaboration with design engineers, additive engineers, technicians, and internal customers to advance AM product development, industrialization, and production readiness. Act as the Technical expert for AM Laser powder bed fusion technology, Electron beam powder bed fusion experience is a plus Set up additive build files & troubleshooting AM Machines and processes Knowledge and experience to run AM MachinesOptimize manufacturing processes, post-processing operations, and inspection methods for additively manufactured components Technical expert for AM LPBF and EBPBF technology in Aerospace- Set up additive build files, post processing, part inspection, troubleshooting and process documentation - Design AM Parts and Supports - 3D modeling- Introduce new Additive products in production utilizing the New Product Introduction process in accordance with established standards and best practices driving a right the first-time philosophy.- Troubleshoot and lead AM Machines & products RCCAs - Experienced in running AM metal machines specially EOS LPBF and EB Colibrium ones- Adjust and optimize AM parameters where needed- Present and Lead AM product MRL reviews with Customers- Act as a Design and Process mentor to other engineers- Review and recommend changes for AM processes; WI and specs- Manage Material and process characterization work for new AM processes- Attend and Support Tech reviews for AM products- MRL owner for many AM projects across the 4 divisions- Lead AM Continuous Improvement for LPBF and EB Processes- Support new machines Implementation - Support Safety; 5S; Maintenance and Calibration of AM Machines- Researches, justifies, and implements new manufacturing processes - Supports development and execution of overall manufacturing strategy that supports the AM Team business strategy to meet cost, quality and delivery.- Support and Own Government funded projects with Collaboration with ERL - Develops and implements effective mistake proofing as part of continuous improvement and root cause/corrective action.- Collaborate with design, other additive engineers, and technicians to develop and optimize additive manufacturing designs and processes- Participates as an active member in Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) to eliminate waste and drive standardization.- Create and maintain the AM process Value Stream- Develop in process monitoring and analyze data from AM Machines- Programming Skills Preferred Qualifications: HND in Mechanical Discipline. Min. of 5 to 7 yrs experience in machine shop and manufacturing engineering related environment. Skills: Manufacturing Experience in Aerospace CAD Modeling experience: Solid works/AutoCAD Practical experience in mistake proofing (Poka-Yoke) Experienced in the design of simple jigs and fixtures. Proficient in the interpretation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing" Good Presentation and organisational skills, strong team player, able to collaborate Proficient in the use of MS Office Strong ethics, values and the ability to influence others' decision making.
