About the role
As a Loss Prevention Partner (LPP) in our Profit Protection team, you'll contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the shop where you are based and be an integral part of the team. Your responsibilities include investigating trends, reporting on key themes regarding shrinkage to protect profits, patrolling the shop floor to deter potential theft, and monitoring CCTV for signs of suspicious behaviour.
At a glance:
* This position is a permanent part-time (20 hours per week) contract, working on a rota basis covering various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
* Salary up to £14,900 per annum, depending on experience, based on 20 hours per week.
* You must be 18 years or older to work in this role.
* This role is subject to pre-employment screening: 5-year reference check, Basic Disclosure, and 5-year financial probity.
* Internally, this role is known as a Loss Prevention Partner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Be a point of contact for branch Profit Protection issues and escalate as required.
* Mitigate malicious harm to Partners and Customers.
* Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
* Address all aspects of shrinkage, including dishonesty, procedural failure, and administrative error.
* Support and coach fellow Partners on minimizing shrinkage and completing procedures correctly.
* De-escalate conflict situations professionally; may involve detaining or banning individuals committing offences.
* Support investigations as needed.
Essential skills/experience:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Confidence in resolving conflict.
* Great attention to detail to spot trends and signs of profit loss.
* Good customer service and relationship-building skills.
Desirable skills/experience:
* Previous loss prevention or customer-facing experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training is provided.
