Overview
We are looking to recruit a social worker to join our Adult Safeguarding Team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, providing integrated health and social care services across Greater Manchester.
The role involves working collaboratively with health, housing, police, and other partners to promote independence through reablement approaches and safeguard vulnerable adults in Salford.
Responsibilities
* Carry out social work duties, including strengths‑based, outcomes‑focused assessments, person‑centred support planning, and reviews.
* Safeguard vulnerable adults by applying the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal, developing robust protection plans, and conducting Section 42 enquiries.
* Communicate effectively with multi‑disciplinary teams to achieve successful outcomes for Salford residents.
* Manage higher levels of risk, network and liaise with a wide range of professionals, and offer expert opinion within and outside the organisation.
* Conduct mental capacity assessments and hold best‑interest meetings.
* Manage a caseload and exercise considerable autonomy in practice.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated passion for social work and a high level of professional expertise.
* In‑depth knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the Care Act 2014.
* Expert and effective practice in complex situations, suitable for an experienced level role.
* Strong ability to work independently while collaborating with a multi‑disciplinary team.
