1 full time (35 hours ) and 1 part-time (17.5 hours )OR 3 part time positions (17.5 hours )Salary: £31,022 per annum (pro – rate for part time) – 17 £ per hour

About the Role
The SEN/Disability Worker role is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You will be supporting children aged 0–5 with additional needs, alongside their families, ensuring they receive the right early help and intervention to reach their full potential.
This role focuses on early identification, family support, and coordinating services to ensure children are ready to learn and successfully transition into nursery or school.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver early intervention and Early Help support to children and familiesComplete Early Help Assessments (EHAT) and coordinate Team Around the Family (TAF) meetingsWork in partnership with external agencies including SALT, Alder Hey, Health Visitors, nurseries, and schoolsDevelop and deliver both group sessions and individual support plansSupport parents to understand and meet their child’s developmental needsModel effective strategies for parents to use at homeCarry out home visits to support families in creating positive learning environmentsIdentify speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) at an early stageSupport children through universal, targeted, and specialist intervention pathwaysObserve and assess children’s development and identify when additional support is neededBuild strong, trusting relationships with parents and carersGroup Work & Family Support
Facilitate parenting programmes such as: Tots Talk Parents & Play Sleep Workshops Deliver universal and targeted group sessions to support children’s developmentWork alongside parents to build confidence and improve outcomes for childrenPromote inclusion and ensure all families feel supported and engagedSEN & Early Years Focus
Support children aged 0–5 with additional and complex needsContribute to early identification of developmental delayWork with PVI settings to support language development and track progressDeliver targeted interventions for children with complex needsPromote inclusive practice within the Children’s CentreWhat We’re Looking For
Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Health & Social Care, or Education (or equivalent)Strong knowledge of child development (birth to 5 years)Understanding of SEN/Disability and early intervention approachesExperience working with children, young people, and familiesAbility to build positive relationships with families and professionalsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSafeguarding & Compliance
