Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Hertfordshire (hybrid – office & site-based) Salary: Up to £85,000 benefits About the Role We’re recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist residential developer delivering high-spec restoration and conversion projects across Hertfordshire. These schemes typically involve listed buildings, heritage sites, and sensitive new-build developments — blending traditional craftsmanship with modern luxury. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role offering involvement from pre-construction through to final account. Key Responsibilities Manage full project lifecycle cost control for multiple high-end residential developments Lead procurement and tendering of subcontract packages Administer contracts (JCT) including variations, valuations, and final accounts Work closely with site and design teams to manage budgets and ensure commercial compliance Contribute to project programming, cash flow forecasting, and value engineering Mentor junior commercial team members and support continuous improvement About You Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (RICS accreditation desirable) Proven experience delivering residential or mixed-use developments, ideally with refurbishment, heritage, or listed building elements Strong understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management Skilled in negotiation, reporting, and stakeholder communication Organised, self-motivated, and confident working across multiple sites What’s on Offer Salary up to £85,000, depending on experience Hybrid working arrangement Supportive team culture with progression opportunities Pension, private healthcare, and bonus scheme Work on unique, design-led residential projects with real legacy Apply now to be part of a team delivering some of the region’s most distinctive residential developments.
