Our Marketing team plays a key role in shaping how customers experience Stagecoach across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, delivering clear, engaging and relevant communications that support everyday journeys.
We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our Customer team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover), supporting the delivery of marketing activity across Yorkshire and helping ensure our campaigns and communications are effective, consistent and customer-focused.
Working closely with colleagues across the business, as well as external agencies and suppliers, you’ll support the rollout of national campaigns while tailoring activity to reflect local priorities. From content creation and campaign coordination to event support and performance tracking, you’ll contribute to a wide range of marketing activity.
This role offers the opportunity to gain broad experience across marketing, develop your skills in a fast-paced environment and see how your work contributes to customer experience and business performance.
This role is normally based at our Barnsley Head Office, with a hybrid set‑up (3 days in the office, 2 from home).
There may be requirements for support outside of working hours at times.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
What you’ll do:
Support the delivery of marketing campaigns from planning through to execution
Assist with the creation of engaging content across digital and local channels
Coordinate campaign activity with internal teams, agencies and suppliers
Support the planning and delivery of events and promotional activity
Monitor campaign performance and help identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure digital channels are kept up to date, accurate and customer-focused
Contribute to the delivery of national marketing strategy at a local level
What we need from you:
You’ll have experience in a marketing or communications support role
You’ll be a customer-focused individual with an interest in understanding different audiences
You’ll be a confident communicator, comfortable working with a range of stakeholders
You’ll have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
You’ll be adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
You’ll have good problem-solving skills and be able to interpret data and basic financial information
You’ll be proactive, curious and keen to develop your marketing skills
