Job Description
Our client is an established manufacturing company based in Hastings, East Sussex. They are looking for a PCB Assembly Technician to join their hardworking and dedicated team.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within PCB assembly, be able to read technical drawings and follow instructions, possess a good eye for detail and inspection and be a strong team player.
As a PCB Assembly Technician you will be assembling electronic components onto PCBs, accurately placing, soldering and inspecting components following schematics and drawings, operating and maintaining equipment such as soldering irons and performing visual inspections and functional tests on assembled PCBs to identify defects.

Your duties as a PCB Assembly Technician would be:
* Assembling electronic components onto PCBs using both surface-mount and through-hole techniques
* Accurately place, solder and inspect components following schematics, drawings and work instructions
* Operating and maintaining equipment such as soldering irons
* Performing visual inspections and functional tests on assembled PCBs to identify defects and ensure they meet specifications
* Troubleshooting and repairing defective boards, including component replacement and solder rework
* Documenting test results and work performed, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
* Installing PCBs into IoT devices for fault finding or recycling
* Completing production and quality control reports, noting any issues and resolutions
* Maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy via workstation organisation, following production processes and participating in stock takes
* Following all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE and uniform, to ensure all work meets regulatory standards and work areas are kept clean, tidy and organised
* Collaborating with the engineering team to provide feedback on PCB/device designs which enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality for continuous improvement

£13 per hour

Monday – Friday, 6am – 2.30pm
