Building Maintenance Supervisor
Location: London Kensal Road W10
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent (42.5 hours per week)
Salary: £42.840 per annum + company van, fuel card, and benefits package

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational oversight, excellent communication, and a commitment to service excellence. You’ll manage trades and subcontractors, carry out inspections, and ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
Role Responsibilities
1. Conduct pre- and post-inspections on internal and external tenanted and Void properties
2. Inspect works at height including doors, windows, and snagging on scaffolding
3. Supervise and coordinate tradespeople and subcontractors across multiple workstreams
4. Oversee planned, cyclical, and responsive repairs to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
5. Ensure all works meet industry standards and building regulations
6. Log works and generate reports using PDA systems and Excel
7. Provide excellent customer care and resolve issues professionally
8. Monitor productivity, resource allocation, and contract profitability
9. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance
10. Compile management reports on operational activities and performance
11. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and company operating procedures
12. Damp & Mould inspections
Role Criteria
13. A full valid UK manual driving licence
14. Experience in the above duties
15. Proven experience supervising operatives within the repairs and maintenance sector
16. A trade background with hands-on knowledge of building maintenance practices
17. Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multi-trade teams
18. Damp & Mould experience
19. Ability to carry out inspections and assess work against quality standards
20. Comfortable working at height and inspecting scaffolding-based works
21. Strong understanding of planned, cyclical, and responsive repair programmes
22. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
23. Ability to use PDA systems and Excel for reporting and logging tasks
24. Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence
25. Organisational and planning skills to manage resources and meet deadlines
