As part of our ambitious PR24 business plan (Stronger, Greener, Healthier North West), we're scaling up our efforts to deliver integrated water management through deeper collaboration with partner organisations such as local authorities, NGOs, landowners, and flood risk management authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the roadmap for driving integrated water management in the North West.
2. Interact with relevant County hubs to ensure that UU risks, issues, and opportunities are integrated with those of partners to identify opportunities for better value.
3. Build and sustain relationships with key external partners capable of enhancing integration and value delivery.
4. Support the management of a partnership opportunity pipeline for UU, ensuring visibility and tracking of projects through to delivery.
5. Ensure adherence to governance for integrated water management, both internal and external.
6. Collaborate with teams developing WRMP, DWMP, and WINEP to maximize the value and relevance of these plans.
7. Track the benefits arising from IWM and partnership projects.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Strong communication skills with experience engaging diverse stakeholders.
* Good awareness of the water industry and ecosystem resilience.
* Understanding of nature-based solutions and their potential.
* Experience in stakeholder alignment.
* Proficient in SharePoint, Excel, and relevant data manipulation tools.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
* Creative thinking and ability to present ideas convincingly.
* Knowledge of planning frameworks such as WINEP, WRMP, DWMP.
* Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, or significant relevant experience.
