You’ll be delivering high-quality Essential Skills sessions in your specialist subject - Literacy / Communication, Numeracy / Application of Number, or ICT -and making a real difference in the local community.

Role Purpose: You’ll deliver engaging, high-quality Essential Skills ICT training to help young people gain the digital skills qualifications needed for further learning and work.
Learners achieving Essential Skills ICT qualifications. Increased learner confidence in using digital tools in everyday and workplace contexts. Strong learner progression rates into employment, education, or training.

Deliver ICT learning that meets Essential Skills standards and contract requirements.
Support learners to gain qualifications, develop digital competence, and apply ICT skills in practical contexts.
Ensure compliance with all quality, safeguarding, and data protection requirements.
Align teaching with current and emerging employer ICT needs.
You’re a tech-savvy,learner-focused tutor who can make ICT skills accessible and relevant. A degree where ICT forms at least 50% of the subject studied (e.g., Computer Science, Computing & Information Technology, Business Information Technology).
GCSE (A–C)* or equivalent in English (or Essential Skills Level 2 Communication) and Mathematics (or Essential Skills Level 2 Numeracy).
A recognised teaching qualification in line with ES Circular 01/12.
Experience delivering Essential Skills ICT.
A passion for helping people develop practical digital skills for life and work.
