Job Description
As the Registered Manager, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care that meets regulatory requirements, local authority contracts, and the company's values.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, compliance, quality assurance, staff supervision, and continuous development of the domiciliary care service.
Registered Manager - Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
* Provide strong leadership and direction to care coordinators, support staff, and field-based care workers.
* Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive team culture.
* Monitor staff performance, supervise staff, and conduct appraisals, disciplinary procedures, and ongoing training.
* Ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet the needs of service users.
Compliance & Regulation:
* Maintain CQC registration and ensure the service complies with all Fundamental Standards.
* Ensure all policies, procedures, and practices are compliant with the Health and Social Care Act 2008, CQC regulations, and other relevant legislation.
* Ensure completion of audits, quality monitoring reports, risk assessments, and care plan reviews.
* Maintain and respond appropriately to procedures, incidents, and complaints.
Care Quality & Service Delivery:
* Oversee and ensure person-centred care planning, risk assessments, and reviews.
* Ensure services are delivered in accordance with assessed needs and individual preferences.
* Monitor outcomes and take action to enhance the service user experience.
Business & Operational Duties:
* Support the development and growth of the service, including private, local authority, and NHS contracts.
* Ensure accurate recording and reporting of data, visits, and outcomes
* Manage budgets, ensure financial viability, and contribute to business planning.
* Lead on investigations, complaints, and safeguarding alerts.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a domiciliary care service.
* Previous CQC Registered Manager experience preferred.
* Understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and CQC compliance.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
