Company Description RAUPACK is a growing business, specialising in supplying high-quality packaging machinery across the UK and Ireland. We are the UK agents for German and US packaging machinery manufacturers. We are a small family run business with a flexible working environment and a commitment to both our customers and our employees. Background From Easter 2026, there will be a large installation at one of our customers in the Huntingdon area. To support this and our existing installed base of customers, we are looking for our first full time Service Technician who combines technical expertise with a customer-focused attitude. The new technician will initially support on the Huntingdon project for a period of up to 5 months, then they will support the Managing Director in servicing our installed base of machinery. We are seeking a professional, well mannered and skilled service engineer who takes pride in their work, enjoys a challenge and can work independently. Day to Day Activities During the Huntingdon project you will support the suppliers team from Germany installing a large palletising system for 10 lines and a large UK manufacturer. You will be involved in Installation, commissioning and testing. You will become an expert in running and maintaining the system Upon project completion you will be responsible for quarterly maintenance interventions for this customer. After the project is complete you will support a growing number of UK and Irish customers in meeting their service requirements. Work will include: setting up new formats on equipment attending FATs in Germany for new equipment assisting on installation of new equipment attending breakdowns paying courtesy visits to existing customers to check the status of their equipment and to promote our after market services Training Training will be tailored to your skills. It will include short periods at our supplier sites in Germany and well as necessary Health and Safety qualifications needed to carry out your role in the UK. Qualifications Experience in packaging machinery, handling, automation, or conveyor technology Ability to work from electrical drawings Knowledge of sensor technology and pneumatics Strong practical skills and hands-on approach Independent, careful, and efficient working style Confident, communicative, and friendly demeanour Creativity in problem-solving Good command of English (spoken and written) What We Offer Annual Pay £45,000 - £50,000 £3,000 bonus on completion of the Huntingdon Project Company van or car for business/Personal travel Time off can be taken in lieu of overtime Private Health Insurance Company Profit share scheme
