Teaching Assistant – SEND Primary School – Birmingham
Are you a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs in a nurturing primary setting? This fantastic SEND school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, and Communication Needs.
This role involves working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to deliver a creative and engaging curriculum, both in class and through small group and 1-2-1 support. The successful Teaching Assistant will be patient, adaptable, and committed to making a real difference in children’s lives. The school provides excellent support and a warm, inclusive environment for staff and pupils. This role requires a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Job Role:
• Supporting pupils in a primary SEND setting with a range of learning and developmental needs.
• Providing 1-2-1 and small group support to help children access learning.
• Assisting with personal care and supporting emotional regulation where required.
• Working alongside a skilled and supportive team to create a positive learning environment.
• Helping children to develop social, emotional, and communication skills.
