As a Gas Technician, you’ll join a team responsible for the construction and operation of large scale test rigs that support critical safety activities within the Energy sector. You’ll also play a key role in the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of essential site infrastructure.
What you’ll do:
1. Design and construct large scale test rigs for flow testing and flow calibration
2. Design and construct gas storage and piping systems
3. Designing and implementing gas distribution systems
4. Performing regular maintenance and inspections
5. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
6. Emergency response planning and procedures
7. Attend safety meetings such as HAZIDs and stay up to date with current test procedures
8. Communicate effectively with technical colleagues

20. In addition to the above, you will require the following:ACS Qualification Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety (CCN1)ACS Qualification CoNGLP1 PD
21. If the above gas specific qualifications are not held, we will consider candidates who hold the following:NVQ in General or Mechanical EngineeringHNC in Gas Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
