Assistant Shift ManagerLocation: Boston, LincolnshireSalary: £Up to 37,000 + Bonus + BenefitsShift: 4 on 4 off Days & NightsSector: FMCGThe Assistant Shift Manager OpportunityAre you a Production Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Assistant Shift Manager looking to join a growing manufacturing business that is investing heavily into its future?This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established fmcg manufacturing business that is currently undergoing significant investment and expansion. Working closely with the Shift Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant running of production operations whilst supporting the development of people, processes and performance across shift.This role would suit somebody with previous leadership experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment who enjoys leading from the front, driving standards and developing teams.Non-Negotiable RequirementsPrevious experience within a Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Assistant Shift Manager positionManufacturing, FMCG or Food Production experienceExperience managing and developing production staffStrong Health & Safety and Quality focusComfortable working a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift patternEssential RequirementsExperience managing labour, productivity and shift performanceKnowledge of GMP, Food Safety and Hygiene standardsAbility to lead by example and drive operational standardsExperience completing audits, inspections and production checksStrong communication and people management skillsContinuous Improvement mindsetDesirable RequirementsFood Manufacturing or Pet Food Manufacturing experienceExperience with Gemba walks and shop floor auditsRoot Cause Analysis experienceWaste reduction and efficiency improvement experienceIOSH or equivalent Health & Safety trainingJob Role of the Assistant Shift ManagerSupporting the Shift Manager with the day-to-day running of production operationsConducting regular Gemba walks to ensure safety, quality and hygiene standards are maintainedMonitoring production performance and supporting Continuous Improvement activitiesManaging staffing levels and labour utilisation across shiftCarrying out quality checks, audits and product inspectionsEnsuring GMP, Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all timesSupporting waste reduction initiatives and identifying opportunities for improvementMaintaining accurate production and quality documentationCoaching, developing and supporting production teamsDriving a positive culture focused on safety, quality and performanceThe Assistant Shift Manager Will Benefit From£36,800 Basic SalarySite Bonus Scheme£300 Welcome BonusCompany PensionCycle to Work SchemeEmployee DiscountHealth & Wellbeing ProgrammeFree On-Site ParkingLong-Term Career Development OpportunitiesJoining a Growing Business Undergoing Significant InvestmentTPBN1_UKTJ
