Hays Recruitment has been retained in the recruitment of a Bid Writer for a leading construction contractor that has been established for over 60 years. As one of Northern Ireland’s longest-established private trading groups, they have an annual turnover in excess of £100m, with over 250 employees. With a wide-ranging portfolio of projects, including hospitals, large retail outlets, and sports facilities, their projects reach up to £50m in value. Due to increased workload and growth, this contractor now requires a Bid Writer to join their Pre-Construction Team.
Your new role
Our client is looking for a Bid Writer to take a lead role in the delivery of bids for their bid team. As Bid Writer, you will assist in the bid process from inception to completion and ensure that all questions are completed productively towards high-quality, economic submissions.
What you'll need to succeed
You will stem from a construction-related disciple with a proven track record in a similar role to a main contractor. You must have a high level of knowledge in relation to construction contracts and design principles, whilst also being able to present high-quality bid documents. Excellent IT skills, including knowledge and application of programming software, will be necessary. The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual who can demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for their own work.
