The role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of delivering cutting-edge supportability solutions for one of the UK’s most advanced naval programmes. This is your chance to make a real impact, helping ensure the reliability and sustainability of critical defence assets while developing your own expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll carry out a varied key role, working in a fast paced environment where you’ll be a vital part in developing Integrated Product Support (IPS) solutions for a new build Warship programme.
1. Conduct availability, reliability, maintainability and sustainability analysis and modelling.
2. Deliver and support Integrated Product Support (IPS) activities for new-build warships.
3. Collaborate with partners, customers and internal teams to produce IPS artefacts and deliverables.
4. Provide technical input into maintenance schedules and spares planning.
5. Ensure compliance with S-Series standards and programme requirements.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Mechanical Engineer
6. Prior experience in mechanical engineering.
7. Operated at Engineer level with expertise in IPS and supportability.
8. Knowledge of S-Series standards and ARM modelling software.
9. Strong communication skills - customer-facing experience is beneficial.
Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer
10. NVQ Level 3 qualified or above in electrical or mechanical
