We have an exciting vacancy for a passionate individual who has previous experience or connections in the wholesale market of plants or flowers. Ideally from a wholesale nursery background or landscape supply.
Assist our Assistant Stand Manager and Managing Director in daily operations and running of the stand at New Covent Garden Market.
* looking for a candidate working for a previous wholesale nursery around London. Not suitable for gardeners and landscapers or florists. Must of been working for a similar business previously Selling plants.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with landscapers and garden designers, alongside florists, and shops.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the market. We are looking for someone in a background in Landscape Nurseries who can help us establish our expanding customer base.
* Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock management of bedding plants, perennials, shrubs, and houseplants Both from our British Nurseries and from Belgium.
* Collaborate with the team to create promotional strategies and events.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a company supplying bedding, perennials, specimens and other horticultural products to landscapers
* Strong knowledge of British-grown plants and horticultural practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
* Experience in buying whether in a Garden Centre, Wholesale or sale of plants - Bedding, Perennials and Shrubs.
