Job Description
1. Complete maintenance to an excellent standard, ensuring items needing rectification are either immediately repaired or logged for future revisiting.
2. Operate with safety in mind at all times, dynamically risk-assessing all jobs to ensure safety of yourself and others.
3. Build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders from all departments, supporting operational teams where possible.
4. Monitor site performance to ensure effective operation, understanding metrics such as availability and performance, and using various means to measure these.
5. Be proactive and dynamic with timekeeping, providing value to the customer within working hours and continuously seeking improvements.
6. Create documentation for learnings from major breakdowns/outages, using root cause analysis and best practices.
7. Support site maintenance budgets by working with a no-waste approach and repairing/testing replaced equipment for future use where possible.
8. Maintain administrative records such as CMMS updates and shift reports to accurately reflect the maintenance status on site.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 3 banks of 3 days (06:00-18:00), 1 bank of 4 nights (12 days, 4 nights)
The Successful Applicant
An experienced Electrical Biased Maintenance/Automation Engineer, ideally from a warehouse/logistics background, with:
* A recognised qualification in Engineering.
* Understanding of PLC & SCADA systems (desirable).
* Proficiency in automation software and programming languages.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* A detail-oriented mindset focused on quality and efficiency.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
