Care Worker – Bring comfort, care and connection
Are you someone who finds joy in helping others feel safe, valued and supported? We’re looking for a dedicated Care Worker to join our team, providing day-to-day support for older people in a warm and welcoming environment.
You’ll be a key worker for those in your care – helping with personal and intimate care, supporting mobility, and making sure care plans are up to date and truly person-centred. You’ll also encourage mental and physical wellbeing, respond to emergency calls, and keep living spaces clean and comfortable.
Alongside that, you’ll support people with meals and nutrition, communicate with health professionals, and offer a friendly welcome to visitors. This is a rota-based role, so you’ll work some evenings and weekends, and you’ll also take part in staff meetings, training and supervisions.
It’s important that you follow our health and safety guidelines and financial procedures – and that you’re comfortable supporting the Christian ethos of the service, including helping residents attend worship if they choose.
Ideally, you’ll already have an SVQ 3 in Social Care or be working towards it, and you’ll be confident using basic IT.
We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that supports others:
1. Access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card.
2. A generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit.
3. Enhanced family-friendly policies.
4. Access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments.
5. Access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges.
6. Support for your training and development, including a contribution to your professional membership fees.
