Senior Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) - Electrical Bias
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Shift Allowance + Benefits (Total package circa £50,000)
Monday-Friday
I am recruiting an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a leading manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong electrical bias to support production through effective maintenance and team leadership.
Responsibilities
* Support and guide maintenance engineers and TPM engineers in daily tasks
* Collaborate closely with technical support, quality, and manufacturing teams
* Promote safe working practices and maintain a clean, healthy working environment
* Work with specialist equipment and support new machine introductions
* Carry out routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on automated production lines
* Perform fault finding across electrical, robotics, PLC, HMI, servo motors, and drives
* Lead continuous improvement activities on production equipment
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 10 years' maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical engineering
* Strong CNC experience (mechanical & electrical)
* PLC trained with experience in Fanuc robots and servo motors/drives
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
* HNC Electrical/Electronic qualification or higher
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Able to work on own initiative and collaboratively within a team
* Awareness of health and safety regulations
* Willing to work a double day shift pattern, with weekend and shutdown maintenance support as needed

Hours
Double day shift pattern:
Week 1: Mon-Thurs 6am-2pm, Fri 6am-11am
Week 2: Mon-Thurs 2pm-10pm, Fri 11am-4pm
