TP Tutors is seeking passionate and committed English Tutors to deliver personalised, high-quality tuition in Kimberley and the surrounding Nottinghamshire area. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire learners, build their confidence, and help them achieve success in English.
About the Role
As an English Tutor, you will provide engaging one-to-one and small-group tuition in homes, schools, or community venues. Lessons will be tailored to meet individual learning needs, covering key areas such as reading, writing, comprehension, grammar, and exam preparation.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted English tuition from KS2–KS4 (including GCSE)
* Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities
* Break down challenging topics to build understanding and confidence
* Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback
* Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures
Requirements
* Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
* Experience teaching or tutoring (SEND/SEMH experience desirable)
* Excellent communication and planning skills
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Up-to-date safeguarding training
