Job Description
The key responsibilities of a Finance Assistant include, but may not be limited to:
3. Providing reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and other transnational processes in the month end process.
4. Providing the contingent account i.e. banking and cash handling.
5. Assisting with internal and external audits and implementing recommendations.
6. Make referrals to internal and external partners.
7. Maintain and build rapport with budget holders and other employees providing financial advice and support where necessary.
8. Experience of preparation of accounts receivable invoices and recording income and aged debt.
The Successful Applicant
The successful a Finance Assistant should possess:
9. Experience within the Higher Education sector is preferred
10. Experience maintaining reconciliations and variance analysis
11. Exceptional IT skills
12. The ability to form and maintain positive relationships with a wide spectrum of people.
13. Proven experience within Finance.
14. Ability to reliably commute to Lancashire.
