This is a rare opportunity to step into a Civil & Commercial Litigation Head of Department role at a rapidly expanding Cheshire firm.
You’ll join a firm that has expanded significantly in recent years, particularly across property and litigation, with strong internal promotions and clear growth and progression pathways.
Who we’re looking for
* 5+ PQE in civil and/or commercial litigation
* Ability to run a mixed civil/commercial caseload independently
* Experience across shareholder disputes, commercial property disputes, contract disputes, boundary disputes, contentious probate and domestic building disputes
* Ability to step in and confidently take over an established caseload
* Proactive, team-first mindset aligned with firm values
* Leadership or HOD experience (Desired)
* Business development experience or following (Desired
What you’ll be doing
* Leading the Civil & Commercial Litigation team
* Managing performance, workflow and development of junior lawyers and trainees
* Taking over and progressing a significant portion of the existing HOD’s caseload
* Handling a 50/50 split of civil and commercial litigation matters
* Supporting the strategic growth of the department
