About the role
In this key role, you will provide the site with specialist environmental knowledge and expert advice to fulfill all legal obligations, ensuring compliance with local & European laws and our sustainability strategy. You will report to the RESH Manager (NW Operations) supporting our Trafford Park Mill.
What you will do
* Ensure compliance with corporate and legislative requirements across all environmental matters.
* Identify emerging environmental trends and ensure the site is equipped to address them.
* Provide assurance of legal compliance in environmental matters.
* Write, communicate, and train on the site’s environmental policies.
* Support continuous improvement aligned with business needs.
* Collaborate with other Environmental Specialists to identify and implement improvements and perform benchmarks internally.
* Support broader engineering and technical teams on environmental impact improvements.
* Manage all permits across both sites.
* Lead internal audits with significant assets on site.
Who are you?
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Proven experience in an environmental role within an industrial setting.
* Experience in the FMCG sector.
* Knowledge of ISO standards (desirable).
* Experience managing permits (essential).
* Auditing knowledge and experience (desirable).
* NEBOSH environmental certificate / IEMA (desirable).
* Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence constructively.
* Ability to react quickly under pressure.
* A passion for coaching and guiding others to improve results.
