Your role as a Lead Chef
You’ll be at the heart of the kitchen, responsible for delivering excellence every service. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing high quality dishes in line with menu specifications and standards
- leading, inspiring and developing a team of chefs
- ensuring every dish is delivered to an exceptional standard
- Assist with new team members and chefs by giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Supervising and motivating the kitchen team to deliver consistent excellence
- maintaining strict food safety, hygiene and allergen compliance
- Driving consistency, efficiency and excellence in every service
- Staying calm under pressure and ensuring seamless kitchen operations
- Collaborating with colleagues to deliver a smooth and professional service
- ensuring the kitchen meets exceptional standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times
- Remaining calm under pressure to ensure seamless service
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as a head chef or sous chef
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of allergen awareness
- Minimum level 2 food hygiene certification
- a natural leader with excellent communication skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding food and service
