Our client is a leading machinery manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are a leading design and manufacturing company, supplying to a number of sectors. Theyre looking to expand their Design team along with their increase in customer orders. They are looking for a Project Design Engineer that wants to develop their career and take responsibility across different areas of the business.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Design from scratch bespoke machinery for customers
* Ensure time frames through from drawings, procurement, design, assembly, and delivery are all kept within
* Manage a team of 2 other Design Engineers, taking responsibility for individual and team projects
* Working with Autodesk to create 3D designs
* Works include only mechanical designs: hydraulic and pneumatics
* Client travel is required to understand customer specifications
* Assist in machinery improvements on customer sites
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Must have Autodesk Inventor experience
* SolidWorks and/or CAD experience would be desirable
* Strong mechanical engineering understanding
* Shopfloor experience : Engineering background is great
* Ideally 5+ years experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer working closely with customers
* Proven experience managing Design projects
