We are looking for a new Delivery Tutor in English & Maths to join our expanding team. The successful candidate must have a passion to practically apply academic subjects.
Candidates must have a full clean driving licence with business insurance and own transport.
You will be responsible for working with young people aged 11-25 on a 1-2-1 or group basis providing valuable life learning skills.
Salary range £32-34K
As a Delivery Practitioner you will work alongside other members of staff and on a one-to-one basis to provide intensive outreach work and onsite provision to students on role with complex emotional and behavioural challenges that stop them engaging and progressing. You will liaise with other staff, family and the child themselves to gain an understanding of how best to work and engage with them during delivery. The main objective of the role will be to break down the barriers to student's engagement in their provision and support their navigation through the provision.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Engaging with young people through conversational education to better understand themselves
· Liaising with professionals, family, and other influencers
· Unpick progression barriers and move them closer to the next stage.
· Evidencing progression through a variety of tools.
· Provide both reactive and proactive methods of delivery.
· Support wider barriers in young people's lives.
· To support the delivery of 1-2-1 and group delivery for Pushforward Education - onsite and remotely.
· Conduct 1:1 tutoring sessions in English and Maths for secondary and Post 16 students that cater for interests.
· Assess student's strengths and weaknesses and develop customised lesson plans.
· Create a positive and motivating learning environment that fosters student engagement and enthusiasm.
· Monitor and track student's progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians as necessary through our internal systems.
· Stay current with the curriculum and teaching methods to ensure effective instruction.
· Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance.
Task to include
· Development and Delivery of sessions for 1-2-1 students or in small groups
· Developing relationship for community engagement and work experience
· All the supporting paperwork associated with curriculum and evidencing delivery
· Liaise with administration to ensure evidence of work.
· Follow strict safeguarding and health and safety protocols as part of Pushforward procedures.
· Support with the requirements around quality assurance for awarding bodies.
Qualifications and Requirements - essential:
· Teaching certification or relevant tutoring experience
· Strong knowledge of the secondary school English and Maths curriculum including functional skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching
· Ability to inspire and motivate students.
