Senior Pension Consultant - Fully Remote Role
We are looking for an experienced Pensions Consultant to join our homebased DB consulting team. If you’re the type of person who wants to join a team managing and advising a portfolio of corporate and trustee clients - this could be the role for you!
Job Description:
What will you deliver?
* Develop excellent relationships with client portfolios and understand their needs and objectives
* Makes a significant personal contribution to the development of the team’s consulting capability, collateral, and people
* Able to effectively communicate complex and technical issues to clients and colleagues
* Identifies solutions and risks for clients based upon an expert understanding of their situation and relevant technical, regulatory and statutory requirements
* Maintains a client focus and concern for quality, which manifests itself in a high degree of client satisfaction and client/business retention
* Assists Head of DB Consulting & Scheme Management in achieving its practice objectives.
What are we looking for?
* DB Pensions experience in a client-facing role can include Scheme Events, GMP Equalisation, Buy In/Outs, Scheme Wind Up
* You will have covered some or all of, the scheme secretarial work, DB pensions projects, Consulting or actuarial project work
* Excellent analytical and communication skills.

* Makes a significant personal contribution to the development of the team’s consulting capability, collateral, and people
* Able to effectively communicate complex and technical issues to clients and colleagues
* Maintains and develops a breadth of knowledge about all the services offered by the business and a complete understanding of those offered by the Practice
* Produces advice to checking/peer review level on strategic/major issues that could result in substantial business risk.
Experience, qualifications, and key skills
Essential
* Previous industry specific experience, particularly pensions
* Knowledge of benefits legislation
* High level of English language skills
* Proficient in all relevant IT packages including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
* Excellent analytical and communication skills

* General business understanding
Desirable
* Technical pension qualification (PMI)
