Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Linux server environments and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms. This is a technical, delivery-focused role requiring solid networking infrastructure knowledge and the ability to support and improve complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage, maintain, and support Linux server environments (build, patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting)
2. Design, implement, and support solutions within Microsoft Azure
3. Administer and support cloud infrastructure including VMs, storage, networking, and security
4. Support hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem + cloud)
5. Work on network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, routing, VPNs, and VLANs
6. Monitor system performance, availability, and security
7. Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and upgrades
8. Provide 3rd line support and technical escalation where required
Required Skills & Experience:
9. Strong hands-on experience with Linux server administration (e.g., RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
10. Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure (IaaS focus; PaaS desirable)
11. Solid understanding of network infrastructure principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, VPNs)
12. Experience with infrastructure security best practices
13. Scripting/automation experience (Bash, PowerShell, or similar) desirable
14. Experience in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments
15. Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, and networking layers
Desirable:
16. Azure certifications
17. Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM templates, etc.)
18. Exposure to monitoring tools and backup solutions
