Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward‑thinking, experienced individual to join our busy Commercial Environmental Health Team and make a difference.

Responsibilities
* Deliver a programme of inspections, investigations, and interventions relating to food hygiene, food standards, and/or health & safety.
* Provide professional advice and support to businesses, service users, and internal stakeholders in line with your competencies.
* Secure and improve compliance with relevant legislation through education, enforcement, and partnership working.
* Undertake detailed technical investigations, assess risks, and interpret legislation and statutory codes of practice.
* Produce clear, concise inspection reports and documentation, and deliver presentations where required.
* Effectively manage and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and performance targets.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience of improving compliance with food hygiene and/or health & safety legislation.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to advise and influence a range of audiences clearly and authoritatively.
* The ability to carry out thorough investigations and apply technical knowledge in practical situations.
* Experience producing accurate reports and presenting complex information effectively.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* A degree or master’s in environmental health and EHRB registration or a Registered Environmental Health Practitioner.
* At least six months of current or recent food hygiene experience.
* Demonstrated ability to meet the requirements of an Authorised Officer in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice.
