Nursery Assistant
Salary: £12.21 an hour
Hours: Part time – 20 hours – 11am-3pm
We are recruiting for a Nursery Assistant to join our Cherryfield Day Nursery on a 4 day working week. The nursery is purpose-built, bright and welcoming to staff and children, across one floor with spacious rooms and an outdoor area. Staff have their own separate buildings for their staff area away from the nursery. The nursery has their own car park and within walking distance of Epsom train station.

The Role
As Nursery Assistant, you will:
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
* Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
* Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
* Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

Essential:
· Confident written and spoken English
Desirable:
· Experience in an Early Years setting
· Knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding best practices
