Director, Procurement - Devices Sites
This role will preferably be based in GSK HQ, UK but can also be based at other strategic European GSK locations on a case-by-case basis.
In this role you will be responsible for leadership of the Procurement teams on all HIV and Respiratory sites for manufacturing-related categories of spend (Directs & Indirects). The Director of HIV and Respiratory Sites Procurement is accountable for the quality, service/ supply risk and cost of all materials and services procured for the sites and has an annual spend accountability of up to ~GBP500m (including Directs, Indirects, and some Capex).
This role is required to manage and influence many senior stakeholders enterprise-wide. The geographic scope of the role is global with an organisation of staff based at 4 GSK manufacturing sites
This is a high impact, high complexity role with significant scope that spans across multiple categories and suppliers.
In this role you will:
* Accountable for the quality, service/ supply, risk and cost of all materials and services for the HIV and Respiratory supply chain manufacturing sites.
* Accountable for creating and implementing Procurement strategies and initiatives which improve quality and service/ supply risk and deliver significant cost savings
* Accountable for ensuring that the key business requirements of the supply chain &/or sites are understood and built into the relevant Procurement Category strategies
* Accountable for attracting, developing and retaining a strong talent base.
* Accountable for ensuring new value creation projects (innovation, savings, quality, service/ supply, risk)
* Accountable for driving optimal OTIF Delivery and Quality performance, involving suppliers as appropriate.
* Accountable for a portfolio of regional/ local materials / services. Own the sourcing strategy development, implementation and vendor relationship management for this portfolio.
* Accountable for ensuring compliance with Procurement and other relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.

* Significant experience in Procurement, both Direct Materials and Indirect Goods & Services
* Demonstrated history of recruiting talent, driving performance via remote teams and developing individuals to achieve ambitious goals
* Strong capability to execute; this is core to the role. Experience managing the delivery of large projects and with end-to-end service / operations management
* Strategy development and implementation; strong value creation capability
* Strong senior stakeholder management and strategic influencing skills
* Clear understanding business value, business priorities, and potential implementation risks
* Skilled negotiator adept at leading complex negotiations with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

* Master’s Degree Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Engineering/ Science/ Business/ Finance
* MCIPS/CIPS Qualified
* Strong capability to drive accountability
* Strong business and financial acumen
* Understanding of latest tools for executing sourcing strategies
* Good understanding of market drivers effecting various spend categories; strong commitment to keeping abreast of trends (eg commodities, energy, inflation)
