The role is integral to supporting the growth and development of our colleagues across Matalan. Working in collaboration with others, this role is involved in the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning solutions including both face-to-face and digital delivery.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Live and promote the Team Brand, Matalan Culture, and values across the business.
2. Build genuine, strong, and effective relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues to support the Talent strategy.
3. Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to onboarding, digital learning, and career development programs.
4. Manage the full project lifecycle for talent development initiatives, considering all touchpoints.
5. Develop and support Subject Matter Experts for technical training content.
6. Create innovative digital and blended learning solutions, keeping up with external trends.
7. Ensure interventions are linked to the Talent strategy and focused on business impact.
8. Seek continuous improvement in talent processes and cross-departmental efficiencies.
9. Offer and promote development opportunities accessible to colleagues at all levels.
10. Evaluate talent interventions and utilize data for future decisions.
11. Manage digital learning platform content and resources.
12. Identify growth areas for personal development and share knowledge with the Talent Team.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience in delivering and facilitating all aspects of the training cycle, including TNA and evaluation.
* Experience in designing digital and face-to-face learning solutions.
* Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Experience working in fast-paced Head Office/Retail/Logistics environments.
* L&D/Training qualifications such as CIPD/CTP/Coaching or psychometrics are desirable.
