About the Role
You'll play a key role in supporting both staff and students across various Vocational subjects, including Art, Design Technology, Construction, Catering, Science, Media, and Computing. Working closely under the direction of the Secondary/Vocational Lead, your responsibilities will include:
1. Organising, preparing, and maintaining teaching spaces, resources, and tools.
2. Supporting pupils in practical lessons to keep them engaged and safe.
3. Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring all safety checks are up to date.
4. Assisting with classroom displays, ICT resources, and material preparation.
5. Managing and safely storing materials, chemicals, and equipment in collaboration with staff.
6. Providing general admin and practical support to teaching staff.
7. Accompanying students and staff on off-site visits and trips.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
* Experience working in a school or similar setting, ideally with SEN learners.
* Strong organisational and practical skills, with confidence in using tools/equipment.
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills (training provided).
* The ability to work as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
* An understanding of or willingness to learn about Health & Safety, COSHH, and safeguarding procedures.
