Technical Sales Engineer / Product Specialist Based: Hertfordshire Salary: £35,000 up to £45,000 DOE + Benefits + Bonus Technical Sales Engineer / Product Specialist My client is a world class Hertfordshire based manufacturer. An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer into their in - house Sales Team. Candidates must hold a technical degree - level or equivalent qualification such as engineering, materials science, chemistry, etc. with previous sales experience. Applications are invited from Technical Sales Engineers, Technical Specialists, Sales Co - ordinators, Product Specialists, as well as RD Engineers and Scientists who are striving to develop a career that is commercially focused. The actual level of this position is to be decided based upon the successful candidate\\\'s relevant previous experiences, which is reflected in the wide salary bracket on offer. This role can be surmised as one that is very sales orientated and requires extensive liaison with sales representatives, RD scientists, and engineers who work with blue chip customers at a technical and senior level. Candidates who are currently and/or have previously worked within sectors that focus on the application of materials, coatings, glass, metals, ceramics or chemicals are likely to be of particular interest. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role. Equally as important is the ability to work well in a team. Candidates who have the ability to communicate in at least one foreign language fluently - in particular, European languages such as French, German, Spanish, Italian or Eastern European languages, are of particular interest. This role will involve both domestic and overseas travel to visit colleagues and customer sites for meetings, so a driving licence and passport are highly desirable.
