Workshop Plant Fitter

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40–45 hours per week (overtime likely available)
A well-established and busy workshop is looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Plant Fitter to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of heavy plant machinery in a hands-on and technically engaging role.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of plant machinery (including Hitachi equipment)
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
* Carry out safety inspections and ensure equipment is operating effectively and legally
* Replace or repair faulty components and systems as required
* Keep clear service records and ensure workshop standards are maintained
* Work collaboratively with the wider team to meet service deadlines
Requirements:
* NVQ or equivalent qualification in Plant Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering
* Sound mechanical knowledge, with diagnostic and fault-finding ability
* Understanding of hydraulic, diesel and electrical systems
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience with Hitachi machinery is a bonus, but not essential
* Strong attitude toward health & safety and quality of work
