Multi modal freight operator

Position: Multi-Modal Freight Operator
Location: Chandlers Ford, Southampton
Salary: Up to £35,000 per year

Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30-17:00pm

We're looking for a Multi-Modal Freight Operator with a strong focus on deep-sea imports from China to join our small but growing team of 7 in Chandlers Ford, Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 2-3 years' experience in freight forwarding who wants to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Multi Modal Freight Operator Role:

* Managing ocean, air, and road import shipments, with a strong emphasis on deep-sea imports from China.
* Preparing and processing all relevant documentation, including customs clearance.
* Liaising with shipping lines, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth and timely operations.
* Monitoring shipments, managing costs, and ensuring accurate invoicing.
* Supporting the team with process improvements and service delivery.

What we're looking for:

* 2-3 years' experience in freight forwarding or multi-modal logistics.
* Solid knowledge of deep-sea import operations and customs procedures.
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
* Proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively in a small team environment.
