PE Global is recruiting a Facility Procurement Professional for a leading multi‑national manufacturing client based in Peterlee.
Contract: Initial 12‑month position, 36.5 hours per week on site.
Pay: £26.74 per hour PAYE or £36.14 per hour Umbrella.
Responsibilities
* Support delivery of a lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for the facility from source to dock and additional required points.
* Recognise potential for cost and inventory reductions, quality improvement, and be responsible for sound business proposals and risk assessment, working with internal teams to deliver.
* Operate and monitor the supply network procurement functions to meet defined response time, cost, quality, and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations.
* Collaborate with business partners and suppliers and resolve facility‑specific supplier issues.
Education and Experience
* Industry experience – off‑highway, yellow goods manufacturing ideal.
* Knowledge of SAP MRP (Mach 1) beneficial.
* Participate in choosing KPIs and metrics to influence decisions.
* Utilise basic data collection and evaluation tools and techniques.
* Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): develop material requirements and costs for custom requests.
* Supplier Management – MFG: follow procedures in routine supplier management tasks, use electronic systems to record/retrieve supplier information and conduct transactions with suppliers.
