Job Title:Press Brake/Laser Machine Programmer
Working Hours:The standard working week for this position is 40 hours, with flexibility built into the schedule to accommodate varying production demands and personal preferences.
We're Hiring: Skilled Sheet Metal worker - Press Brake and CNC Laser Programming Experience
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Sheet metal workerto join their fabrication team. The ideal candidate will also be confident in running and programmingCNC laser cuttingandpress brake machines, ensuring precision and efficiency across multiple processes.
This is a hands-on, workshop-based role suited to someone who enjoys variety, technical challenges, and producing high-quality fabricated components.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal to spec
* Program and run CNC laser/press brake cutting machines (Promecam/Radan) - investment into new laser machinery requires Candidate to have this experience.
* Interpret engineering drawings and follow job sheets accurately
* Carry out basic maintenance checks on machines
* Perform quality checks and ensure finished parts meet tolerances
* Work safely, efficiently, and maintain a clean work environment
* Collaborate with other team members in production and fabrication
Requirements:
* Proven experience operating press brakes (manual and/or CNC)
* Experience programming and running CNC laser
* Strong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and bend allowances
* Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
* Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g. Radan or similar)
* Good attention to detail and quality standards
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
