Aneurin Bevan University Health Board supports flexible working. There is a temporary top-up for Bands 2 and 3 reflecting the incorporation of the living wage of £12.60/hour (£24,638/year), until the 2025/26 pay uplift is confirmed.

Job Overview

The Grange University Hospital (GUH) seeks an enthusiastic Band 7 pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide generalist pharmaceutical services to wards within the Specialist Critical Care Centre. If you are a clinical pharmacist passionate about pharmacy, we invite you to join us.

You will develop greater autonomy and responsibility, gaining experience across different clinical areas. Opportunities include Non-medical prescribing, quality improvement, research, and education aligned with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Advance Practice Framework.


Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services, working closely with senior pharmacists to support your professional development. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team are essential. We welcome innovative ideas to improve pharmacy practice and patient care.

The Pharmacy Department collaborates extensively within the Health Board, providing services across various specialties with automated systems and comprehensive medicines management, including electronic discharge.

Flexible working options are considered, and informal visits are encouraged. Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential; both Welsh and English speakers are welcome to apply.
