Bridges is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter due to continued growth. In this role, you will work with a team of M&E engineers across various client sites in the, and not limited to, Severn Trent Water region.

Across our key sectors - Water, Power, Energy and Aggregates, and supported through our regional office network supported by our manufacturing hub located in the heart of Somerset which forms part of our 60,000ft head office complex - we deliver diverse and interesting projects and programmes throughout UK infrastructure.
Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.
The Role
Contracted to 40hrs per week on site hours, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid at your normal rate.
You will be paid your travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours.
A normal working week would normally average 50 to 55 hours with overtime and door-to-door travel.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Mechanical installations
* Ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others
* Minimizing impact on and protection of the environment
* Interpreting site drawings and project information
* Liaising with other contractors
* Occasional lodging away
Requirements
* Appropriate trade qualification
* CSCS Card or similar (essential)
* Full UK Driving license (essential)
* Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter within an industrial or construction environment
* Good understanding of mechanical drawings
Desirable:
* Water industry experience
* EUSR water hygiene
* Mechanical Mates stepping up to Fitter role (must have relevant qualifications/certifications)
