We are excited to be recruiting to a Physiotherapy Therapy Assistant Practitioner Post working between Orthopaedics and Critical Care & Surgical.
The post holder will work as part of the physiotherapy team within acute wards, covering core hours between 08:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday. The post contributes to weekend service delivery in a 5 out of 7-day pattern.
Suitable for individuals with healthcare experience and a specific interest in supporting mobility and activity. The role requires the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Key responsibilities:
* Assess patients' mobility and support activity and rehabilitation.
* Work within the physiotherapy team to deliver high‑quality care in acute wards.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care plans.
Required qualifications and skills:
* Healthcare experience with a focus on mobility and activity support.
* Demonstrated ability to demonstrate essential skills, experience, qualifications, values and behaviours (see attached person specification).
Working hours: 08:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday; weekend service in a 5 out of 7-day pattern. As of 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week, with a corresponding increase in hourly rate.
