This is a part‑time visiting care role supporting a 63‑year‑old individual living independently at home. The client is seeking a reliable, organised and calm carer to assist with household tasks, meal preparation, shopping and transportation to appointments. This is a fixed‑duration contract for 6 weeks, working 6 hours per week across three sessions.
Key responsibilities
The carer will visit the client's home and undertake the following responsibilities:
* Shopping for groceries and preparing meals
* Household tasks including cleaning and laundry
* Providing transport to appointments
About the client
AGE: 63
HEALTH CONDITIONS: The client has multiple neurological conditions including Functional Neurological Disorder (F.N.D.), Radiculopathy and Morton's Neuroma. Additional health needs include obstructive sleep apnoea, osteoarthritis of the upper spine, aphasia and other general health conditions.
LIFESTYLE: The client lives independently and is a devoted Christian. They enjoy online volunteering for three charities and researching various subjects. They value order, structure and working with reliable, consistent individuals who can use their initiative.
Work environment
Smoke‑free and pet‑free home.
Requirements
* LANGUAGE: Fluent spoken English
* DRIVING: Must hold a valid driving licence and provide own vehicle
* QUALIFICATIONS: Care Certificate
Working pattern
6 hours per week, delivered as three 2‑hour sessions per week.
