About this job
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for building and wiring a range of electrical products including distribution boards, control stations, junction boxes, and safety switches.
The Assembly Technician will follow engineering drawings and electrical schematics to assemble high-quality components and containment systems.
Duties also include using hand and power tools, operating workshop machinery such as pillar drills and milling machines, and occasionally attending site visits.
This Assembly Technician role offers variety and the opportunity to work on specialised ATEX equipment.
Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a mechanical or electrical Assembly Technician role
* Proven experience using hand and power tools
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:
* C&G/NVQ in an engineering-related discipline
* Experience using CAD software
* Familiarity with ATEX standards
Additional Information:
* All candidates will be required to complete a personality and aptitude test as part of the application process
* Successful Assembly Technician applicants will receive manufacturer-specific training, which may include occasional overseas travel
* Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday (08:00–17:00) and Friday (08:00–15:00)
