Role Summary
This is a senior leadership position at the heart of our client's investment fund infrastructure. Acting as a quasi-Deputy Head of Operations, you will own the end-to-end oversight of our client's UCITS fund operations — from day-to-day fund management through to strategic transformation initiatives. You will be a visible presence at Investment Committee and Board level, and the primary operational steward across their fund range.
This role suits a seasoned fund operations professional who is equally comfortable managing a team and service provider relationships as they are presenting to a Board or driving automation projects from the ground up.
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Key Responsibilities
* Report directly to the COO; act as a key deputy across all operational matters
* Lead and manage the fund operations team, including task allocation, performance reviews, and resource planning
* Own day-to-day management and oversight of UCITS funds
* Monitor and escalate investment risks across the fund range
* Assist in managing new fund launches, working closely with legal, compliance, and external service providers
* Maintain and develop relationships with key counterparties (Management Company, Administrator, and Custodian)
* Monitor investment risks across the firm’s UCITS funds
* Liaise with Sub-Investment Managers and portfolio managers on operational matters
* Lead strategic projects focused on operational efficiency, automation, and outsourcing
Required Experience
* Significant experience in fund operations, fund accounting, or middle office within an asset managemr or comparable environment
* Strong knowledge of UCITS fund structures, NAV oversight, and regulatory requirements
* Proven ability to manage teams and lead cross-functional projects
* Confident communicator at Board and senior stakeholder level
* Experience managing third-party service provider relationships
