A well-established business based in Birstall is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary full-time basis. On offer is an hourly rate of £14.35. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will involve providing all-round support to the accounts function, with the chance to gain valuable exposure to payroll as part of your development.
* Carrying out bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
* Managing expenses, including petty cash and company card transactions
* Assisting with month-end processes and routine reporting tasks
* Posting and processing entries across the ledgers
* Supporting the wider finance team with general administrative and ad hoc duties
* Gaining valuable exposure to payroll with the opportunity to develop skills in this area as the role progresses
Requirements
* Have previous experience in a finance-related role (1–2 years desirable)
* Possess good IT and Excel skills
* Be accurate, organised, and confident working to deadlines
* Demonstrate a proactive and adaptable approach
* Have strong communication skills and be a good team player
Location and Accessibility
Based in Birstall, this role is easily commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Morley and Batley. Free on-site parking is available, and the office is well-served by public transport.
