The Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to provide end-to-end commercial and contractual support across both Business-to-Government (B2G) and Business-to-Business (B2B) engagements within a defence environment. This role is critical in ensuring contractual compliance, managing risk, and supporting successful programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial and contractual activities across B2G and B2B engagements
* Ensure adherence to MOD frameworks and subcontracting processes
* Negotiate, draft, and manage a wide range of complex commercial agreements
* Maintain compliance with export control regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and the UK Export Control Order
* Act as the primary commercial point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
* Collaborate closely with the Corporate Commercial Contracts team to align best practices and risk management approaches
* Develop and maintain commercial policies, procedures, and contractual documentation to meet compliance and governance requirements
What We’re Looking For
* Strong experience in defence contracting, working with both government and industry customers
* Solid understanding of MOD frameworks and subcontracting practices
* Proven ability to negotiate and draft complex commercial agreements
* Strong working knowledge of export controls (ITAR, EAR, and UK legislation)
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* SC clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain clearance
