*Job Overview*We are seeking a skilled and dedicated vehicle technician/ MOT tester to join our team due to team expansion in our modern workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
*Duties*
* Identify and diagnose faults in vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment.
* Carry out necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure vehicles pass inspection.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and recommendations for customers.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and any required work.
* Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and adhere to health and safety regulations.
*Skills*
* Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to vehicle maintenance and repair.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
* Capability for heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
