Milk Education are recruiting for an LSA – Barnet to support pupils with additional learning needs within a welcoming and diverse primary school. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone passionate about removing barriers to learning and promoting student independence.
The LSA – Barnet role involves providing tailored support to students who require extra assistance to access the curriculum. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in Education and Training, specifically in the areas of literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
As an LSA – Barnet, you will work closely with the SENCO to implement individual learning plans and monitor student wellbeing. The school offers a robust induction program and ongoing Education and Training to ensure all staff are equipped with the latest inclusive teaching strategies.
This LSA – Barnet position is ideal for graduates or experienced support staff looking to further their career in Education and Training, particularly those interested in educational psychology or specialized support roles.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Providing 1:1 and small group interventions to boost attainment
2. Adapting learning materials to suit individual student needs
3. Supporting students with social communication and focus
4. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and engagement
Essential Skills / Experience:
5. Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting
6. A calm, empathetic, and resilient nature
7. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
